Methodology & sources
Primary source: CPO Reference Price — Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) — HR is set at the end of each month for the following month (it was fortnightly from Aug 2022 to Jan 2024; history is stored per published period).
Export duty follows the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) tariff column for the applicable HR bracket; the BPDP export levy is shown as published across regimes (a flat US$/MT until Sep 2024, then a percentage of HR: 7.5% → 10% → 12.5%). The stored levy series is the CPO rate (Group II); rates for other product groups in the group table are derived as PMK rate × current HR.
International benchmark: World Bank — Pink Sheet (CMO) — separate panel, not an input to HR.
Every figure cites its legal basis/dataset and passes GIMNI internal review before publication.
HR, export duty and export levy are export regulatory values (US$/MT), on a different basis from domestic spot tender prices or retail prices. See also the retail cooking oil price tracker — maintained separately, not merged.
